1999

The American company known as Total Renal Care is on the verge of collapse. Kent Thiry takes over its management and begins a new chapter in its history.

2000

Kent Thiry and other leaders propose a democratic approach to company management; in a group of over 600 people they define the mission, vision and values of the company and decide that it will be called "DaVita", which means "giving life" in Italian.

2001

The new approach known as "The DaVita Way" is introduced to all employees who meet at DaVita's first "Villagewide" celebration. Then they are invited to cross the bridge, which is to symbolise the desire to create a unique place with DaVita.

2001-2010

DaVita is dynamically expanding on the American market, constantly improving the quality of medical services and achieving better and better results in the treatment of patients.

2011

DaVita begins to expand outside of the US. It is becoming an international community focused on providing the best care for its patients.

2013

DaVita arrives in Poland. It starts operating in 8 facilities.

2017

DaVita Polska takes over 42 Dialysis Centre facilities and develops its centres all over the country.

2020

At the beginning of the year, DaVita chain of clinics merges with B. Braun Avitum Polska to provide assistance to over 4,000 patients in 68 stations.

2020

DaVita operates in 9 countries around the world. Apart from the USA, these are: Saudi Arabia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Malaysia, Germany, Great Britain, Portugal, Poland, Singapore. 65,000 members of its community take care of 238,000 patients worldwide.
